Terms of Use
The ground rules for using Garland Garage Door Experts, a free garage door quote service for Garland, Texas and nearby cities. Plain language, short sections.
What this service is
Garland Garage Door Experts is a referral service. We pass your garage door request to independent local companies that may contact you with quotes. We are not a contractor. We don't perform repairs or installations, employ technicians, set prices, schedule visits or provide warranties.
Free, with no obligation
Using the site and requesting quotes is free for homeowners. You're under no obligation to hire any company that contacts you.
How we're paid
Participating companies may pay us to receive requests, on a flat per-request basis. That doesn't change what you pay the company, and it isn't an endorsement.
The companies are independent
Any agreement for work is between you and the company you choose. That company is responsible for its work, pricing, insurance, estimate, warranty and conduct. We don't verify insurance, reviews or qualifications. Before hiring, we suggest you:
- Ask for proof of liability insurance. Texas doesn't issue a state license for garage door companies (TDLR's licensing programs don't include one). If a job needs a new outlet or circuit for an opener, that electrical work requires a Texas-licensed electrician.
- Ask for a written estimate, including any trip or diagnostic fee, before work starts.
- Ask for an itemized invoice that lists the parts replaced, and ask for your old parts back. Texas's Deceptive Trade Practices Act prohibits false statements about the need for parts or repairs, and claiming work was done when it wasn't (Bus. & Com. Code §17.46(b)(13), (22)).
- Know your cancellation rights where they apply. If you sign a contract at your home, Texas law (Bus. & Com. Code ch. 601) and the FTC's Cooling-Off Rule can give you until midnight of the third business day to cancel, and the contract must include a cancellation notice. Repairs you asked a company to come out for may be treated differently, and the federal rule excludes true emergencies only if you sign a handwritten waiver. Read the cancellation notice before you sign.
Information on this site
Content here, including prices, safety notes and summaries of Texas and federal rules, is general information. It isn't professional, engineering or legal advice. Prices are published estimates, not quotes, and Garland-area quotes vary. Rules change, so confirm anything important with the company, your city's building department or a lawyer.
Consent to contact
By submitting a request, you confirm the information is yours and accurate, and you agree that the site operator and matched companies may contact you by phone, text or email about it, including by automated means. Consent isn't a condition of any purchase. You can ask us to stop at any time. See the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Don't submit false requests, someone else's details, spam or anything unlawful, and don't try to disrupt, overload or scrape the site.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Garland Garage Door Experts isn't liable for the work, pricing, delays, damages or conduct of any company you hire, or for decisions you make based on this site. The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
